Sunday accounting

  • 6 = number of posts drafted and not yet completed on account of everything feels kind of forced and icky lately: Soul sister; Things I ought to apologize for; Reason I will never be on the Price is Right; Don’t call me blogger; Her vibes are rather reckless; and National Punctuation Day, a playlist.
  • 4 = episodes of The Flintstones I Tivo’d yesterday during Boomerang’s anniversary celebration: Bewitched One; Rip Van Flinstone; and The Great Gazoo; and Let the Sunshine in.
  • 3 = number of books finished: Bad Marie: A Novel by Marcy Demansky; Fables Vol. 2: Animal Farm by Bill Willingham; and Fingerprints by Will Dinski (the penis embargo apparently doesn’t apply to graphic novels).
  • 3 = number of mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups eaten while watching Mad Men: I wanted Snickers but they didn’t have them in the checkout line which was where I was when I realized I wanted the Snickers.
  • 2 = actual meals created and eaten at home: Scrambled eggs with smoked cheddar for lunch and baked ziti for supper (pouring cereal into a bowl doesn’t count as meal creation in my book).
  • 1 = naps taken: It was an accident during an episode of “Freaks and Geeks” on IFC. I mean to read another book but my eyelids got in the way.
  • 0 = emails responded to/people spoken to: Sundays were made for ignoring life.

I can’t wait for the “Bad Marie” review. I’ve had it on my list for weeks. Can you just toss out a number of stars to tide me over?

I’d give it a good, solid 4 stars. I really liked it. And, just for you, I reviewed it on MN Reads today ahead of the five other books I read first and haven’t written about yet.
