Love the song…And the fact he let you release this is as gold as a 1/2 price pitcher at the Cam!

My entire ‘Mats/Westerberg fandom started because of 1/2 price pitchers & The Cam’s jukebox.

I’d kinda forgotten about Paul lately. I know, shocking! Off the top of my head the last thing of his I heard was World-Class Fad, which must be a couple of decades ago! Thanks to SlicingUpEyeballs.com I stumbled on this new song and realised how much I’d missed him. Can you supply an ‘essential PW records of the last 20 years’ list to help me catch up, please? Any prospect of a ‘Mats reunion? Everybody else seems to be at it when they realise it’s time to build up a pension-pot… Keep The Faith! Tim, Chester, England

I think Folker is probably among the best of his “basement tapes,” Tim, though Mono/Stero and Come Feel Me Tremble are pretty darned good, too. Still, I wish he’d go into the studio with some first rate folks and cut something Hi-Fi he way he used to. I love his music enough it drew me to live in Minnesota, so if I sound critical, it’s with the utmost reverence to his potential I suspect he’s been half-assing it for the last decade or more while he raised a family and took a little care of his health. Still good stuff because he’s so talented, but frustrating because each song could be so much more if he took the time and trouble.
