3 executive decisions and an update to the communications policy

Executive Decision #1: Instead of saying that I am unemployed, I am going to say that I am a freelance writer who works from home and is considering full-time employment. I mean, it’s true and all, but I decided that it’s all about how you look at things. Right? Right?

Executive Decision #2: I am going to value what I do even if it doesn’t bring in a lotta bucks. Every word I commit to paper/pixel has got to lead to something, right? It’s part of some cosmic plan that will turn out in the end. Having faith has never been a strong suit of mine and I’m having a really hard time just giving myself over to things will work out in the end. I’ve never been much of a control freak but not knowing if/when the next paycheck is coming has been hella hard. However, I am getting better at it. Though I do reserve the right to lose my shit in a few weeks when the mortgage is due again.

Executive Decision #3: It’s totally okay to have a Little Debbie Snack Cake with your second cup of coffee as long as you’ve already eaten breakfast.

Update to the Supergenius Communications Policy: I don’t communicate before 9 a.m. Which is a loosening of the Supergenius Communications Policy because back when I worked at the Hell, Inc. it was 10 a.m.

You’re a grown up now. The Little Debbie Snack Cake can BE your breakfast. And if you want, you can have another LDSC with your second cup of coffee. Sheesh. For an “Executive” you sure don’t seem to have a grasp on how to use The Power.

With great power comes great responsibility. I don’t want to abuse my power.
