Dear VH1 Classics,
I would just like to thank you for airing all seven episodes of the 7 Ages of Rock today. This was easily the best thing that could have happened to me today. See, VH1 Classics, I had to clean the entirety of Supergenius HQ today because in roughly 18 hours my family is going to descend en masse onto these hallowed halls.
You don’t know me VH1 Classics, but I hate cleaning. It’s boring and dirty and just makes me feel bad about myself, because how can I be this messy? Gah!
But today with the 7 Ages of Rock on in the background, cleaning was fun. This documentary series is the bomb digs. I don’t know if I learned a whole lot, maybe because I was only half listening, but I sure as hell enjoyed listening to it. The Rollings Stones, Bob Dylan, The Who, Velvet Underground, David Bowie, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, The Smiths, Patti Smith, The Ramones, The Clash. WOW. Seriously. Nice work.
One complaint though. In the whole Left of the Dial segment you played not one, but two Replacements’ songs, you even showed the “Let it Be” record cover. . . and all they got was a mention in a list of other bands being played on college radio. COME ON!
That is all. Just a short thank you. I’m tired because I cleaned and rocked all damn day.
