there are places where i find my rest

why is it that we get so giddy when we hear one of our favorite songs on the radio? the current is playing “to destruction” which was my all-time favorite song for most of june, and right now my heart is beating all giddy-like.

It’s even better if it was a song you’ve forgotten about because it’s been so long since you last heard it. Then it’s like an old forgotten friend popping in for a quick visit.

That’s something I truly miss in these days of instantly being able to download music and having 7000 songs at my demand – that thrill of hearing a favorite song that I might not necessarily hear otherwise. Love that feeling!

that’s why you need to listen to 89.3 The Current! because you’ll hear stuff you haven’t even thought about in 100 years.

You really ought to get paid for every time you mention them. Or at least a free bumper sticker, you radio-station-Pepsi-Blue person, you.

I know! It’s just so hard to find a station that plays Vanilla Ice anymore…

Actually, I do listen The Current every now and again. Sure beats the radio crap down here!
