i stopped watching TV right around the last episode ever of dawson’s creek, back in may. my friend john the wondergeek thinks this is a particularly fallacious and misleading statement, being that i still watch movies all the time. so i usually have to append the statment something like this, “i do not view cable and/or network television programming in the privacy of my own home, however i do watch feature-length movies on DVD and VHS.”

anyway, recently my grocery store strike entry has shot up the charts of most hit posts and i couldn’t figure out why. it seems there’s a real, live grocery strike looming. i had no clue. i suppose this is an argument against using nytimes.com and metafilter as your only source of news.
