and swim through your veins like a fish in the sea

jena had a great post about fall a few days ago. but i can’t find it anymore.

it feels like fall today. it’s cold and cloudy. it’s only 58 degrees. i was going to write about how i’m feeling a bit melancholy today. but i’ve changed my mind.

instead i’ve decided to confess a dirty, little secret.

i am in love with that uncle kracker song. you know the one i am talking about. don’t even deny it.

“follow me everything is all right i’ll be the one to tuck you in at night, and if you want to leave, i can guarantee that you won’t find nobody else like me.”

admit it. this is the best sing-in-the-car song to come down the pike in a good long while. it makes me smile. singing this song as loud as my voice will go. i know i sound terrible, but i don’t care.

in other music news. i think my niece jaycie’s new favorite song is “lady marmalade” from moulin rouge. or at least subconciously it’s her favorite. tuesday night she kept singing (over and over and over again) “hey sister, soul sister.”

it drove me absolutely batty.

I, too, adore that trite and insipid tune. In fact, I like it so much that I posted the lyrics a while back. What a terrible confession. I wonder if anyone actually saw that post? (Shudder.)
