so the car-buying debacle of 2001 is in its second day. yeah, i had pretty much resigned myself to waiting until january to get a car. go in with a huge down payment and a co-signer if needed.
but then the slimeballs (all car salemen will be known as that from here on out) called me at work today. allegedly they got some super-great deal from gmac financing and they only get two of these certificates a year and they wanted me to have one.
it’s all bullshit.
so i go in and they say i can afford a $700 a month car payment. . . clearly they don’t care about putting gas in this car or me eating.
blech. it was all such bullshit i don’t even want to write about it. bascially they wanted to sell me a 2001 craptastic oldsmobile intrigue with no boopboop locks or cd player for a mere $570 a month. . . a five year loan at 17.9% interest.
i told them to kiss my posterior.
they were stunned.
of course, i come to find out they only called me at work because tony (brother-in-law) bitched them out this afternoon. he’s enraged at this whole ordeal. he can’t wait to call them tomorrow and give them hell.
finally, i know what it’s like to have a brother.
that is a shitty deal!!

keith, after the hoo-ha of last night, i’ve decided to wait until january. amass a giant down payment, toddle on down to the toyota dealer in january with co-signer in tow and get me the swank Rav4 i’ve been dreaming of.
this something i will not compromise on.
Look at it this way: at least you didn’t buy a lemon of a Mitsubishi you’ll be paying off for 5 years and despise the car with every ounce of your being.

arf. don’t buy Dodge.. I have a Plymouth Neon and it’s a piece of crap. I’ve already gotten a new starter, new battery, and new motor mount and it’s only 3 years old. grr.
the rav4 is a good choice, as is a subaru of your choosing. you will appreciate the all wheel drive and the reliability.
i had a rav that had some problems with the door, but everything else was good. my wife swears by them.
i’m into subies now. love it.
I think I may start up a web site “Car dealers suck!!! ” We as consumers should boycott those lousy dealers and the autos they make and drive them out of business I walked out of 3 dealers already!! They are scum sucking sobs Joe Verdi their guru and the rest of them should be hung up by their balls and pineapples rammed up their corn holes for all the times they shaft the little guy.
