A few weeks ago I alluded to balancing feelings with creative desires. After much internal debate, a lot of counsel from friends (thanks Peabo, Sparky, etc.) I went forward with my project.
So darling ones, I am pleased as punch to announce the brand-new Paul Westerberg.net: A Bad Idea Whose Time Has Come. Yes, after seven years of waxing psychotic on iwilldare.com about Paul Westerberg and the ‘Mats. I finally decided to make a fan site.
But this better than just a fan site, it’s a community sharing blahg of sorts about all things Westerbergesque. At least that’s what I envision it to be.
In my wildest dreams it’s a site where people go and write about their Westerberg/’Mats memories, talk about their favorite songs and what the music means to them, plus all the usual concert news, record review hoo-ha, what have you. I’ve enlisted a few Westernerds to start posting right away, but hopefully the site grows and all kinds of voices are heard (I’m looking at you Holtz, and you too Kristy, oh and you too Robin). Hell, I’d be happy as fuck if y’all went over there and started posting (and commenting).
For something that caused me quite a bit of angst, I am surprised that I am so happy about the whole thing. But, here I am happy as hell about it. It’s fun and refreshing to have a new venue to express my passion.
Congratulations, friend! If anyone should have a blog that waxes poetic about PW, it’s totally you. Rock and roll! 😉
Good for you Jodi! Just got word that lots of MWT members will happily jump ship. Free speech trumps censorship everytime.

I don’t think anyone has to jump ship. There can be more than one Paul Westerberg site out there. I just think PW.net offers something different than MWT.

Congratulations! It takes no small amount of courage to try to create something brand spankin’ new. I don’t see any reason pw.net can’t co-exist beautifully with MWT. I’ll try to participate whenever I get the chance…
