bridezilla vs. supergenius, a momentary truce

maria looked up at me, her eyes filled with terror.

“uh, how tall are you?” she asked, her voice trembling a bit.
“six-foot-five,” i said.
“oh, well most dresses aren’t made for women over six-feet tall,” she said.
“OH,” the entire sister club shouted. “she doesn’t need a dress.”

maria sighed.

“good, that opens up your selection quite a bit.”

that seemed to be the only speed bump in the night. the dress selection went quite smoothly with sisters #2, #3, bridezilla, and MoH, Lisa all agreeing on a beautiful ‘latte’ colored dress.

we actually had quite a good time, it’s hard not to have a good time in a store filled with fairy-tale gowns and tiaras. oh the tiaras! those were my favorite part, because well even my giant 6’5″ frame can fill out a tiara like a normal girl. in fact the sisters, lisa, and i had so much fun trying on tiaras, that we sorta forgot about the bride. but maria, our wedding-dress helper, snapped her fingers and called us all to attention. we, of course, fawned accordingly and snapped pictures happily and were giddy with talk of rhinestones, veils, and shoes.

oh, but don’t worry, darling one. there is still one more battle yet to be fought, over the flowers. sadly, with the advent of the latte colored dresses, the sunflower idea bit the dust (yahoo!). sister #4 asked me to help and i can’t wait. because the only thing i love more than tiaras, are flowers.
