it has come to my attention, while i so valiantly fight the urge to nap, that “Tupelo Honey” by Van Morrison might just be one of the all time sexxiest songs of all time. wouldn’t you agree? i’m not so good with the bow-chikka-bow-bow songs at all. but i do know that “Tupelo Honey” makes me feel all liquidy and languid and that’s about as good as a sexxy song can make you, isn’t it?

This has long been one of my favorite songs, after having heard it on an ooold mix tape made by one of my uncles many years ago (i think cassettes were cutting edge at the time). it took me about forever to finally see a copy of the cd in a record store [amoeba in sf] — most places seemed to only stock various “best ofs” that this was somehow left out of. Now I wish I was at home so I could listen to it!
