once upon a time there was a girl who decided to work at home so she could be there when a book by one of her most favorite authors was delivered by the UPS man. the girl did so love this author that she went about the place smiling goofily and calling her cat, madison, a slutty bitch with the utmost affection after he knocked over a stack of CDs that were on the counter.
this girl loved the author so much that she even gave up her favorite activity of all time, napping, to wait for the arrival of his book.
the girl, however, did not have much patience, so she kept tracking the package on the magical world wide web. the first time she tracked it, it was still out for delivery.
the second time she tracked it, it was still out for delivery.
the third time she tracked it, it had been delivered. . .
to work!
to the place she was not. the girl was most upset that she decided to work from home today, because now she would have to spend the night without the book by her most favorite author.
and there was sadness throughout the land.
the end.
You’ll love it when you finally get it, best thing he’s written in years…
This result seems like one from an O Henry short story. Very “Gift of the Magi”-like.
rolpol, you evil evil evil one. you’ve already read it?
Sorry, but I’m afraid I have….
It came out in the uk several months ago, I guess as a kind of payback for us having to wait a few extra weeks for ‘Folker’ to be released here….
It’s worth the wait though, I promise….
