don’t read beyond this point if you don’t want Vanilla Sky spoiled for you.
you have been warned.
wtf was cameron crowe thinking? the movie was interesting and all, pretty and what not. but c’mon a fucking dream? my god it sounds like a bunch of bad short stories i wrote in the 8th grade. sheesh.
what i have learned, penelope cruz is damn charming. i don’t think you can watch this movie and not fall in love with her. tonight i will long for giant lips, dark eyes, and yards of beautiful brunette hair.
next up: the royal tennenbaums

ick. i love you, jodi chromey, but i cannot stand penelope cruz. *shudder* although, she was bland enough in that movie to scoot under my “annoying actresses who ruin otherwise good films” radar.
Are you serious? You didn’t get it. It wasn’t a dream. He was dead for many years until the technology was available to bring him back to life. Once they did bring him back to life (around the year 2200), his sub-conscious takes over with help of the technology to allow him to control his ‘life’. But there was a bug in the system and it turned into a nightmare. He then finds out he is living only in his head, and is given a choice: Live in a perfect world or choose to live a real life (where he is no longer rich, the girl he was in love with has been dead for 150 years, etc).
