after spending the morning listening to bob mould and Husker Du, i got to thinking. i love the song “green eyes.” then i got thinking of other eye songs. “brown-eyed girl,” “don’t make my brown eyes blue,” “angel eyes,” the list goes on and on. but i can’t think of one, single song about hazel eyes. clearly, someone should write a song about hazel eyes. it’s sure to sell a bazillon copies. just think of the underepresented masses yearning for a song about their eyes? if i had a lick of musical talent, i’d bail on this software gig and start my hazel-eyed tour.
curses! another get-rich scheme foiled by my lack of talent.

er, “turning japanese” by the vapors features a hazel-eyed girl.
Hey, that never stopped Ringo Starr… Just find some other talented musicians, a good producer, and you’re set!
help! where in turning japanese. i’ve just listened to it 304,284 times, i didn’t hear any mention of it. maybe it’s the liz phair version that’s missing it. what’s the the line?
“your eyes are hazel, and soft as clouds”
One line about the girl’s eyes does not count as a song for hazel-eyed girls. The chorus at least needs to talk about her wonderful, elusively-colored hazel eyes. 🙂
Does this count for anything?
