the morning after

well, i have managed to survive the morning after the night before. i actually don’t feel bad at all. i am not one to get hung over, but i am moving a little slower than usual. i can’t decide if the slow-movingness is from too much alcohol or just sheer laziness. today is a day made for laziness. it’s grey and a bit chilly out. billy bragg and wilco are singing woody guthrie songs on the stereo. i’ve spent most of the morning reading a book and surfing the web aimlessly. i have some shopping to do, but i’ve decided to put it off until well into the evening.

ya know, lately i’ve become one of those people who think all sorts of productive stuff has to be done as soon as possible in the day. when did that happen? besides who decided that everything that should be accomplished in the day should be done before the sun sets?

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I suffer the same malady, and usually find that I feel like loser early on and better at night, when I actually have the energy to DO something productive.

I know what you mean. I was doing stuff at six. Now I get to goof off. A sunny and nice day in P-town.
