hmm, valentine’s dinner in gemland. i really can’t complain. diet coke, frozen pizza (sans dirty-feet tasting sausage) and the delectable pacey on dawson’s creek (and might i just add. . . c’mon how dumb do they think we are. what 21-year-old woman would date a 17 year old boy?). what more could a single girl ask for on valentine’s day? actually, it wasn’t so bad. i only spied one delivery of flowers at work. trevour got an adorable cookie boquet from his gf. but you can’t fault him because a.) he’s so damn cute and b.) his gf goes to college in ohio.
actually, i did get something for valentine’s day. dallas bought me a GIANT bag of peanut m&ms. ha! that’s what you get when you ask people what they are gonna get you for valentine’s day and then strongly hint about how much you like peanut m&ms. plus kari got me a “congratulations on the new job” present. a lovely journal she bought at the cool store. kari and i love the cool store. everytime we go i drool over all the lovely journals, but never seem to buy one. she got me the one she though was most fitting. on the cover it says, “one day i will be a responsible adult with a family and a mini van and a mortgage but until then i reserve the right to be a moody obnoxious brat who dresses funny and shows up late for dinner.” it makes me laugh and laugh because it’s so close to true. and i love her for seeing that and being so thoughtful. i guess i don’t need a special someone to make me feel appreciated and cared for. i am lucky.
