this is my first post with the computer formerly known as the as-yet-unnamed-dell, and who you shall come to know as Ogden. he’s pretty swanky. i am so digging the wireless keyboard and the super swany flat-panel monitor thing. it looks so space-age designy. though it may take me a little to get used to the weird spacebar on this keyboard. i think it’s a little smaller than Oberon’s keyboard. it’s weird nonetheless and it sounds different.
Oberon and Ogden aren’t speaking to each other yet. but soon, soon they will. i just have to get some stuff from heather’s jeremy and then figure it all out. he assures me that i’m probably supergenius enough to figure it out by myself, and offered much kind assistance to get the two boys talking to each other. we’ll see if i can figure it out. i think i might have to toss this wireless keyboard out the door. it’s sorta wonky and as i’m typing it along it’ll do something wonky and make Ogden make beeping noises. hrmph.
so much newness, i’m not sure what to do.

Dear Oberon,
Don’t worry too much about Ogden. Jodi still loves you, even at first it might look like you are being replaced. I assure you, it’s perfectly normal to mature and, yes, let’s admit it, grow slower with age.
Your real job is to teach this young pup everything you know. Talk to him. Show him the ropes. You’re a role model now, and if you don’t teach him just how to take care of Jodi properly, nobody will.
I know I wouldn’t be the great little laptop I am today without the help of a lot of old crappy computers that have since given up the ghost. But I like to think they’re somewhere better now . . resting peacefully in front of that giant cooling fan in the sky. Well, not all of them. Some are just down in Florida, playing two-dimensional pong or whatever it is old computers do when they retire.
