You Make My Dreams Come True: THE ‘MATS ARE REUNITING

I HAVEN’T STOPPED TYPING IN CAPSLOCK SINCE ABOUT 9:05 P.M. WHEN MY WHOLE WORLD EXPLODED INTO RAINBOWS AND UNICORNS WITH THE NEWS THAT THE REPLACEMENTS WERE REUNITING.

When the news hit my computer and phone couldn’t keep up. I don’t think I’ve ever had so many simultaneous chats, Twitter conversations, Facebook notifications, and texts at the same time. My fingers could barely keep up and people were all “are you breathing? are you freaking out?”

AND ALL I COULD DO WAS TYPE IN ALLCAPS. My heart is still all jittery and racing and I am so excited I might never sleep again. If you go to the Chicago show, I’ll be the freakishly tall woman weeping uncontrollably with a smile on my face.

HOLY SHIT PEOPLE! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?

Wha!?…am I the first person to comment? At any rate, the price of the tix are, sadly, out of my range. Here’s to hoping they do some cheaper shows closer to home….

I will be surprised if there isn’t some kind of hometown show. From what I heard probably after the Festivals. However, I read on The STrib that they’re under no contractual obligation to wait until the festivals to reunite.

Okay. I get it. However, it’s Tommy and Paul of the original lineup. Money is a powerful motivator, but I have this sinking feeling that whatever spirit/energy from back when will be missing today. Bob was the spirit (for good or ill) of the Mats. He’s still dead. Get over it.
