Eurydice is missing. I discovered this last night. She could be one of two places, work (where I am not) or in the front seat of Ruby (who, as I type, is up on some lift getting some sort of gasket fixed to the tune of $417.32).
My stomach is in knots. I’ve never not put Eurydice back in my bag when I leave. Except, apparently on Friday.
I just had Al, the cutest girl on earth™, check my desk at work, and it’s not there.
So let’s all just hope and pray that it’s sitting on Ruby’s front seat when I go to pick her up this afternoon.
UPDATE: Eurydice has been located and is resting safely with Sister #3. Seems in all my Ruby hubbub I left Eurydice at the bowling alley where Sister #2 scooped her up and delivered her to Sister #3 (since Sister #2 and fam are in Florida until Sunday). Phew. I will go pick her up as soon as I get Ruby back.
Call the garage and ask them about it?
I thought about that. But if they don’t see it or don’t notice it, I don’t want to alert them to the fact that there’s an iPod sitting in there.
Thank goodness she’s safe!!
Hallelujah! I’m glad you found her.
Have you ever heard the Apples in Stereo’s song, “Ruby”? Lovely, lovely pop music, indeed.
Ruby, oh baby don’t you know
girl your silence hurts me so
are you listening?
Ruby, oh baby can’t you see
it’s the source of misery
I went through a phase where I collected Ruby songs.
How was Lu?
