Pete Scholtes over at City Pages, linked to the Trees Lounge 50 States: July 4th Compilation, and it’s pretty rad. 89.3 the Current did something like this last year on the 4th of July. Seeing all the Minnesota songs is cool, there were tons on there I’d never heard of. Though they didn’t include two of my favorites “Skyway” and “I Bought a Headache” by the ‘mats. Nor did they get the Pushstars’ “Minnesota” or Paul Westerberg’s “MPLS.”

It’s funny to see the huge list for Illinois and such and teeny, tiny lists for Iowa and Idaho.
