because i’m fresher than you and you’re white

it has come to my attention that some people actually think i am hip on the musical tip. like i’m a hipster girl who knows all the good stuff. well, i just want to set the record straight.

you should know that i am currently listening to Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock’s “Joy and Pain.” not only am i listening to it i a barely resisting the urge to get up out of my chair and dance like Morris Day. I’m not sure why Morris Day, it just seems appropriate some how.

How “My Name is Earl” of you.

I like that song, but my musical tastes are stunted in the early 90’s.

i like to think it’s very ‘jodi’ of my name is earl.

when i was a sr. in high school, i was the editor of the yearbook. to sell the book we had these huge assemblies with each class (sr. jr. etc.). at these assemblies i did a little presentation featuring a slideshow with some of the photos we’d be using. these slideshows were accompanied by music and one of the songs i picked was ‘joy and pain.’

    so, they totally copied me!

I proudly own up to the fact that I have more than one Rob Base song on my mp3 player. And I still know the choreography to a cheerleading routine we did to the song in high school.

Of course, no one would ever mistake me for a hipster. *grin*

If you mean ‘dance like morris day’ as in ‘slide to the side and flap your arms’….it is always appropriate.

Well, I have to say this: everything you have mentioned here I have gotten or had and liked, especially artists (I feel so Dick Clark when I use “artist”)on the IBL. Mike, Ted, and Andrew all are awesome.

Good taste you have. Umm, yes.

Plus you have the MN thing going.
