today, i keep finding myself randomly laughing out loud. a few times laughing until i made myself cry. if you lived here you’d think i was completely insane. if you lived inside my head you’d be laughing so hard your stomach would hurt. it’s the random milwaukee-chicago flashbacks that keep popping into my head uninvited causing the laughter.

it’s one of those trips that have so many stories and so many things i need to write about that i don’t even know where to start.

so instead of starting i’m going to take a nap, and then take another shower, and then eat some vegetables for dinner and then maybe have a night cap, and then if i feel like it, i will tell you a story or seventeen about my fabulous weekend.

in the meantime i’ll share with you a little foreshadowing.

last night i was talking to the TTHM, and he was going on and on about his absolute and pure love of Mary Lucia. anyway he was yammering on and on about the lucious Ms. Lucia and how she had to interview one her heroes. i guess before the interview she was talking about how she never, ever wanted to meet this person because she liked him/her so much and meeting them would just be weird.

sounds a little like someone else i know.

“you know what?” i shouted into the phone. “i think mary lucia is my soulmate.”
“she is not,” the TTHM said. “she’s mine.”
“nuhuh,” i said (yes our conversations tend toward the sophisticated). “she’s just like me. we’re totally alike.”
“do you sleep with the bedroom window open?” he asked.
“YES!” i said. “and i have a window open a crack when it’s 40 degrees below zero just for a little fresh air.”
“she’s not your soulmate,” he said again.
“oh she is too!” i said. “she and i are totally alike and you just don’t want to admit it because you LOOOoooOVVVVvvveee her.”
