holy shit! did you hear that? that was a HOLY SHIT! while i missed most of paul westerberg’s set (caught only I Will Dare), i got to see bob mould and grant hart on stage singing “Never Talking to You Again.” i nearly crapped my pants in total glee.

it was an amazing show. i mean to see so many of your favorites all at once was, well words fail me. i didn’t catch on to the utter coolness of most of these musicians until it was much too late. most of them had broken up or were in the process of breaking up by the time i came along.

to see grant hart and bob mould on stage together was just fucking incredible. i’m still buzzing.

plus, i got to talk to sweet, sweet rob. and i got to see my friend Scott who i haven’t seen in ages. and i ran into the minion who was very drunk. and of course, there was FFJ’s husband there. he, like me, has decided that we’re much to old for this standing for five hours nonsense.

and i got to hear billy dankert sing “time heals.” i just wanted to cry it was so wonderful. oh and the gear daddies also did “stupid boy” and “color of her eyes.”

bob mould did “if i can’t change your mind,” “ego overdrive,” and some other songs i can’t remember. because i dont know the names of all the songs.

oh oh oh AND paul westerberg joined golden smog on stage to do “dead flowers” a rolling stones cover.

i am blabbering aimlessly, i can tell. and sweet rob and i had sorta conviced ourselves that there would be some sort of repalcements reunion of sorts, especially after seeing grant and bob together. also because rob said he had seen tommy stinson at gluecks right before the show.

i was more than a little disappointed when there was no tommy, paul love fest. but you know, grant and bob was probably more than enough.

it was so amazing. SO AMAZING.
