i collect the things that people say. it’s an addiction. i say it’s all fodder for my writing, but mostly i just like to collect the things that people say and/or write. a lot of these i get while in meetings at work. because i work with funny people here’s a list of recent favorites:
“this going to be even worse than before,” in a meeting about upcoming projects.
“i’ll admit it, i’m part of the problem.”
“i know we’re the bump on the log.”
“can i go? i got shit to freak out about.”
“you can only hate one thing a day from now on.”
“we can’t use that, you know it’s going to translate into something like ‘pump yourself in the company of others.'”

i also collect them places other than work.
“You are such a brat it transcends universal physical laws.”
“she may or may not have touch his crouch, and that’s enough.”
