jess and i went to Qdoba Mexican Grill for lunch. really it’s just a Chipotle rip-off, but it’s not quite so busy, usually. today, it was, it must have been the sunshine or something.
i like going to Qdoba Mexican Grill because next to their soda fountain, they keep a little silver bucket filled with limes (they have one with lemons too, but i don’t care so much). of course i ordered a diet coke and then dropped in two lime wedges. so right now, i just finished my soda from lunch and had great gobs of ice left, so then i decided it would be a good idea to dump in the leftover diet coke with lime from this morning (since i had only had about two sips out of it).
and i’m here to tell you that lime diet coke with extra lime is positively limetastic. so put that in your pipe and smoke it.
by the way, i hate to say it, but i bought some of your diet coke with lime and it’s really not all that. but you’ll be happy to know, i’m willing to forgive you for so cruelly deceiving me. 😉
the key is to drink four or five on them right in a row. you can’t give up so easily.
HEY! I told you about adding real limes to Diet Coke w/Lime… It also works with Diet Mt. Dew, Diet Pepsi and the Diet Faygo Key Lime Pie soda (Although Faygo does neglect to add caffine to their diet sodas.)
I’m not asking for a shrine or anything, just maybe throw some props to this old geezer.

oh. my. god. Faygo makes Key Lime Pie pop now? Faygo is quite possibly the one thing I miss the most about the Midwest. *sigh* cheap and delicious. my June visit can’t come fast enough. I think I may have to carry a case of Red Pop onto the plane with me.

Imagine how awsome those lime drinks would be if they were made with cane sugar instead of that corn syrup yuck!
Or maybe they could stay diet sodas so us Type II Diabetic people don’t have to miss out on all the fun!
Williams-Sonoma has pure cane sugar in a suspension. It looks REALLY good; If you can stomach that sort of thing, I’d suggest you buy two.

When I saw the lime diet coke I knew I had to try it and I liked it, but I can imagine it could be really good with a real wedge of lime added. Mmmmm.
