recently i made a CD of songs full songs about longing and heartache, for a friend who is going through a nasty breakup. i loved the CD so much i made a copy for myself. really, i have outdone myself. i’m sitting here listening to it, letting the beauty and sadness wash over me and unkink the knots in my neck. it’s absolutely divine.
if you could listen to this CD filled with some of st. paul westerberg’s most poignant and moving songs without your heart breaking into 922 pieces than you are a far more less romantic person than i am.
it’s making me weepy and dreamy in that good sort of way that longing and hope can make you weepy and dreamy.
