i just tested the chili, it’s so hot it made my brainmelt and run out my nose. it’s so hot i have puffy lips like i’ve been kissing all day. the back of my throat is still burning.

in other world events, i’m in full-on i suck at writing why do i even bother this is pure crap mode. not so good. it probably wasn’t a good idea to read The Best American Short Stories 2003 last night. if there’s something to make you doubt yourself, that’s it.

Miss Jodi, You should be reading “Best American NonRequired Reading” instead. It’s my personal cure for the inspiration drain that the B.A.S.S. (fish!) series causes in me.
NonRequired Reading is so much more fun and diverse and inspiring. My perscription is: take two stories a night, and post about in the morning :).
