listening to the thorns covering the jayhawks’ blue is the only thing getting me through this super stressy work day. it’s even making me smile a little.

i think i might be really digging the thorns. clearly my love of matthew sweet can outweigh my vague dislike of shawn mullins (because the boy who told me my back was too long really, really liked him). matthew sweet’s voice just makes my heart beat all sorts of goofy. mostly because it reminds me of ben jones and whitley and jeff johnson and the days when i was hip, cute, young and cool.

yeah, i’m good. this song sung in his voice mixing the jayhawksy goodness with the matthew sweet it’s like sensory overload. my heart is racing (and not from the large mocha either).
