today i had lunch with the delightfully delightful darlingchuck, a genuine mad scientist. it was so fun! because, well, i’ve never met a real, live mad scientist before. i’ve met really weird scientists, and really boring scientists, but never a mad scientist.
it was just so weird, but in the fascinating, so unlike me way. i would listen to him speak and i could just tell that his brain worked completely different than mine. plus, i think he’s the only person i’ve ever met with hair messier than mine.
it was really very cool, hopefully we’ll do it again soon.

A lot of the guys we play volley ball with are scientist types, a little dweebie like me, and work for the feds in geology and food and drug and dept. of the interior, I think that’s the one handling National Parks. Anyway they’re a lot of fun and charming.
