since i’ve never done it before, i decided this year would be a good year to see what one can find at one of those after christmas sales.
here’s what you can find:
crowds
annoying ladies spending entirely too much time contemplating 50% off wrapping paper
annoying old ladies discussing the sacrilegiousness of blue wrapping paper
annoying young ladies with babies and two carts hogging up entire aisles
crying kids who want trucks and/or barbies
lots of carts in your way
tons of junk on sale, the junk you didn’t want to buy in the first place
i love target, but today my wonderful retail wonderland was turned into hell on earth. i did, however, buy some totally rad christmas cards for next year. then i hightailed it right out of there before i killed a lot of people.
Oh man – I don’t envy ya at all Jodi, after I worked at Target and experienced 3-4 of those Day After Christmas sales, I vowed never to go to Target the day after christmas again!! I mean, there are people lined up outside the store before it opens on this morning, almost as much as on the day after thanksgiving… And ya have all these people wanting to return stuff, and they wonder why something they bought 3 yrs ago can’t be returned! (It’s been regifted 2 times!) – Retail work sucks. And sometimes the customers don’t have any mercy for the workers too…

Life must be extremely bad for the both of you and I am sorry for your despair.However I enjoy the whole part of the after chritmas sales and some of the bargains that you find can be worth the crowds of people.My advice to the both of you is not to have children and try smoking some weed to loosen up a little.
I also enjoy the after Christmas shopping sales, however Im sorry for your bad experiences.I also get frustrated with the crowds, and alot of the times the employees. Im not rude to an employee unless they are rude to me and face it, some can be downright awful to you, thats when I dont put up with it. My opinion, if you cant handle the crowds or the holiday retail work, you shouldnt be working retail. As for you shoppers, this is whats great about after Christmas shopping; You buy 75% off ornaments, things like that and pack it away when you take down your tree. Next year when you open all those holiday totes, it will seem like Christmas to you before it evens gets here. You will find all those items you forgot you bought and it is so much fun.
