clark hornbell here talks about the rigors of having an easily picked on last name. with a last name like chromey, the kids had to try really hard with that one. i got called chrome dome a lot, which really didn’t get to me. perhaps if i had suffered from female pattern baldness it would have gotten to me but i didn’t.

i got crummy/cruddy chromey a lot. . . but again, it was a stretch.

in college i was called chromey zone, which was the name of my newspaper column. i got the name because fritts was always calling me chromosome.

the only thing that kinda gets me is jaycie and max calling me grody. jodi grody is what they call me. they chant it. it’s a term of endearment, i know. but all i can say is max is gonna have quite a payback come 14. . .
