dear dave pirner,
what the hell were you thinking? “i’ll never recover from losing my lover?” are you kidding me? that’s the best you could come up with?
what happened to songs like “marionette” and “black gold?” hell, i’m still waiting by the phone, waiting for you to call me up and tell me i’m not alone.
sheesh, i even miss the clever, yet trite, frustrated incorporated from “misery.” god dave, i loved soul asylum. loved them with a passion only a high school girl can muster.
and now i get recover and lover? tell me it’s all an awful joke.
wrong way on a one way track,
jodi

You can ask him in person on Friday, when Soul Asylum plays in front of the Excel Center. I saw them at the Fine Line last winter, and they still rocked! So much energy and emotion!

Jodi,I don’t know if you will read it or you won’t. I couldn’t uderstand what you really mean, sorry. I’m not from America and I have never had any chance to meet Dave Pirner, although it was one of my big dreams in my life.
I haven’t got an opinion about this things, because in my country people just forgot Pirner and nobody is interested in Soul Asylum,no press or newspaper, nothing so if I want to know something about him I must read everything in English,it’s a bit difficult. I can’t understand nothing and Pirner always speak a eloquent language.
So you are lucky,I may never have a chance to see him, he will be available for me.
I know you didn’t talk about it,but I had to tell it to somebody.
