beulah, when your heartstrings break

another new addition. this one i got for christmas from one of my most favorite orange haired ohioans.

i discovered beulah through the ultra foxy jeffy who put one of their songs on a mix tape he made for me. it was love at first chord.

when i brought this CD into work everyone kept asking me what they sounded like, what kind of music they were. my oh-so-super-smart, loaded with indie-cred and the next lester bangs self said, “i dunno, music.”

yeah, now you can see why my career as a rock critic was cut short.

i just don’t understand how anyone could not like a band with a song called, “if we can land a man on the moon, surely i can win your heart.” i tried to incoporate that line into some of the our marketing promotions, “if we can land a man on the moon, surely we can get you to buy this product,” but it didn’t go over so well.
