the patron saint of daydreams

i am in love with Fool on the Hill. this book has me totally, completely under its spell. it’s a romantic fairy-tale farce about a storyteller who can control the wind. it’s a book i have to read slowly. after 15-20 pages i have to put it down and stare dreamily at the ceiling. i love fairytales, have since i was a kid. this is like a fairytale for grown-ups and the protagonist is a writer. what’s not to love about this book? george, the storyteller, is just so damn charming and optimisitc. i am not usually one for sci-fi/fantasy/totally suspend belief sorta stuff, but this book’s got me where it wants me. i hope the crush doesn’t end as the pages to read diminishes.
