my desire to see the movie “planet of the apes” is more than a bit puzzling to me. i don’t like monkeys. i don’t like sci-fi movies and well. . . i’ve never seen a planet of the apes movie. but i want to see this movie so badly. i keep saying it’s because i like tim burton movies, but that’s a damn lie. i want to see monkeys on film. it’s weird.

you know me darling ones, you know i am not a sci-fi geek (i am a geek of a different color). i’ve never seen any star wars movie, close encounters, alien. . . none of them. they hold no appeal to me. i did see e.t. does that count as sci-fi? and i did really love mork & mindy, shazzbutt! does that count as sci-fi?

so now you can see why i am so puzzled over my sudden desire to see the monkey movie. it just makes no sense and i am afraid i might be possessed. clearly, that’s the only explanation.
