see a little light

darling ones, guess what?? being my bossy, mouthy, opinionated usual self has worked wonders. wonders, i tell you. this afternoon (after a delightful lunch with kari and baby jake) stuff started happening. remember how i was bitching about being the fifth wheel in the creative group? well, the cube walls are coming down baby. we’re gonna lower the walls between me and ella’s cubes, so i feel more like a member of the group. yay!! we’re also having a GIANT meeting to discuss the goddamn quandry that they call my job. it’s a start. i don’t think this one meeting will solve all the political problems, but i think it will find me something to do (well, besides sitting in a meeting). the political mess will be a long, hard battle. it’s funny because nobody wanted to do my damn job before. now that they have someone to do the job (me), everyone wants to do it. but, one battle at a time, right?

Battle well-fought, Jodi. The walls may be down, but now it’s time to run your own flag up the flagpole, blow your bugle, and make the bastards sign the treaty giving you jurisprudence over the Rheinland, I say.

Yay for you! It is an inspiration for all of us downtrodden refugees of office politics.
