don’t cry for me argentina

i refused to believe that there was no ice cream in the freezer. i just couldn’t accept that i had been so irresponsible. really, it’s sunday. what kind of adult does not make sure the freezer is properly stocked with ice cream on a sunday? while i sat here working (yes, actually working and not just playing freecell) i debated with myself.

“if the goddamn ice cream is that important, just go to dairy queen,” i said.
“yeah, but i don’t want to put on clothes,” i said back.
“well then you can’t want ice cream that much,” i said.
“yuhuh, i do so. plus it’s hot in here,” i said.
“then go get the damn ice cream,” i said.
“but i don’t wanna go.”
“you’re such a baby.”
“you’re mean!”

by that point i decided to go check the freezer again, or just stand in front of it to cool off.

as i was stared with great longing into the frosty interior, i flipped over the it’s not delivery it’s digorno pizza and guess what i found? popsicles. who knew i had popsicles? but still, popsicles are just a pale imitation for the creamy cool goodness of ice cream.

but, since i didn’t want to put on clothes, i decided to accept my popsicle fate and grabbed the box. and then much to my surprise and delight, hiding behind the box was a pint of ben and jerry’s! I KNOW! i am clearly the luckiest girl in the whole wide world.
