i’m editing the very last chapter of the book and listening to the wallflowers’ “god don’t make lonely girls.” when jakob sings the line, “she’s coming home with me, i ain’t even gonna touch her at all, i’m only going to lay awake and watch her sleep.”

all i can think is, “jakob honey there ain’t gonna be any sleeping.”
