aye carumba! why are the holidays so exhausting?

i never thought playing games would wear me out so. but then maybe it was that bottle of wine yesterday, the 318,389 nights in a row with only 4 hours sleep and sleeping on the couch that wore me out.

it was wonderful though. there’s just something so warm and schmoopy about having the people you love most in the entire world in one house for such an extended period of time.

also, there was no fighting. none. which makes this a christmas for the record books. not that we fight all that often, just catty sister stuff usually. but there wasn’t even any catty sister stuff. we got along swell. it was great!

the only minor catastrophe (well besides sister #4’s head-on collision with a tree) was unveiling the website for the folks’ bowling alley only to discover that wherever the bowling alley phone number was to appear my home phone number appeared.

i like to think that i am not that hard-up for my phone to ring, but perhaps my subconscious thinks otherwise.

now, i am eagerly awaiting thrusday when the rest of my gifts arrive from amazon. it’s like christmas, the sequel.

tomorrow brings work, blech. i should have taken the next three days off. but can one really complain when they only have to work three days and then have another four off?

tonight i get to sleep in my own bed and i can’t hardly wait!
