I wish you times in your life that are so filled with people and activity that it takes you nearly an entire day to recover. A time where you are so busy living your life that you don’t find to write about it until much later than you had planned.
I wish you the kind of satisfaction that comes with watching the people you opened your home to enjoying themselves. I hope that at some point in your life you can watch a four-year-old boy unwrap gifts with his eyes squeezed shut because he wants to prolong the anticipation just a few more seconds.
I still wish for you at least one person in your life who will change out of their pajamas for you and a year full of serendipity.
Also, beautiful sugar bowls and gravy boats.
All the kids at my fiancee’s family gathering are in their adolescence or teens, and thus were not as excited by their gifts as it sounds your nephew was. But at least they were happy about their gifts; some of the older folks couldn’t even pretend to like the gifts they got.
Sometimes it seems like Christmas should have an age limit. But we’ll make an exception for you, of course.
Hope your 2009 is spectacular.
Oh, and great photo of the lights. Excellent depth of field.
well, thank you! happy holidays, ms. dare.
Happy Christmas and best wishes for the new year to ye, Ms. Chromey, from your neighbor to the south! Hopefully your driveway was sufficiently melted by today’s sun – ours still has a bad patch, but is otherwise navicable!
May you have much to write about in ought-nine!
cheers,
