Yesterday, before the first day of school Nolan dropped some knowledge on us. Mostly that Liam is now a “Grader” which is a big deal, you know having a grade instead of being in kindergarden. As far as I can tell it means that you don’t wave from the bus and there were, apparently, other things he didn’t elaborate on.
So this morning, I arrived to quiz Liam about what it was like to be a Grader.
“It’s fine,” he said, trying to play Lego Batman on his DS.
“Did you learn stuff?”
“Geometry? Chemistry? Philosophy? Socrates? Plato? Kierkegaard? Schopenhauer?”
“No, we learned stuff that was smarter than that.”
