Today is my FFJ’s birthday. I could write endlessly about her class and grace. But I won’t right now because I am on a conference call that requires roughly 1/3 of my attention.

I could talk about her strength in the face of losing her mother and her brother within months of each other. I could talk about how she makes me laugh and her fearlessness. I could talk about the beautiful daughter she and her hubbin are raising.

I could talk about a lot of things, but I won’t. Sometimes putting into words how you feel about someone, about the joy they bring to your life lessens it. And I don’t want to do that.
