Chromeo, Chromeo, who the hell are you Chromeo?

Even though there are 7,738 songs on Kathleen Turner Overdrive it’s not often that it’ll throw out a song that totally takes me by surprise. However, that’s already happened this morning. I hit shuffle and one of the first songs to come up was “Needy Girl” by Chromeo.

I have no idea at all how this song came to live on KTO. If you sent it to me, I am sorry for being such a space cadet. The song is awesomely bad. It reminds me of Cameo’s “Word Up” or Oran “Juice” Jones’ “The Rain.” You know, that mid-80s synthy-R&Bish bullshit. It’s so bad I can’t help but laugh at it. And listen to it over and over again.

    I’ve got over 10,000. I win.

And I fixed my ipod. Apparently a few good whacks with the palm of my hand was all it needed.

You gotta get on outta here
    with that alley-cat-coat-wearing,
punch-bucket-shoe-wearing crumbcake I saw you with.
    Cause you dismissed!
    That’s right, silly rabbit,
Trix are made for kids, don’t you know that?
You without me is like corn flakes without the milk!
    This is my world!
You’re just a squirrel trying to get a nut!

    lol, Oran Juice.
