I picked Jaycie up at 8:30 this morning and we headed downtown. I don’t think she stopped talking until we arrived at 9:15. I learned that she’s the second oldest in her class, and that Katie’s birthday is tomorrow, and that Booker really, really loves football and everyone knows he loves football and when they voted they voted that Booker would most likely grow up to be a football player, and Jaycie was voted to be a movie star, though she thinks she might want to grow up to be a fashion designer.

Of course, she shyed right up the minute we walked into the studio. Which is to be expected. I’d have been shy if I were suddenly to hang out with four of her friends.
She was, however, enamored with the studio, we all were.
“You know Al,” I said as I walked around the space. “You get mad style points for this.”
After we had shot all the videos (it’s a work project), cleaned up, and loaded into the elevator, I looked over to Seamus. “I need to do something that requires a studio.”
“Couldn’t you have a writer’s studio?” he asked.
“Yeah, but I already have a house full of rooms that I don’t write in. I don’t need another.”
And the funniest part, was as we were driving home, Jaycie informed me that maybe she’d be a person who takes pictures instead of a fashion designer.
Jaycie is so beautiful!!
I know. I was a little stunned by how stunning she was in that picture.
Sadly, she doesn’t get her looks from me at all.
