Greetings to the New Brunette, a work in progress

I went to go get a new hair do today. The pretty little hairdo just wasn’t doing what it used to. I was in need of a change. First, let me say that I have a total girlcrush on Jenny, the haircutting waif. She’s all of like 22 and as cute as can be. She laughs at how nerdy I am, and totally understands my phobia about having News Anchor Hair™.She’s everything I look for in a haircutting waif. Plus, she really likes me because I let her do whatever she wants and am always trying something new. “Everyone’s so jealous that I get to do your hair,” she said. “You’re the type of client everyone wants, because you always do such fun stuff.”

So today Jenny, the haircutting waif, talked me into something totally new and different. In fact it’s so new and different that it’s a two day procedure. Usually you do it all in one day, but today we didn’t schedule enough time. Apparently this new hair requires all over color and then after you do that then you apply the other colors. It’s not the normal stripey foil job. She explained it all much better than I did.

This is what I looked like when I went into the salon today:

And this is what I looked like when I left:

I feel totally goth with my dark hair. Tomorrow I’ll show you what it looks like when it’s complete.

Dang. You are brave. And even if you never went back tomorrow, it looks good all choco-licious today. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

Me? I’m the client hair girls hate. I’m all, “Um, let’s leave it long. Maybe a few layers. Nothing too crazy.” She spins me away from the mirror so I don’t see her yawning and rollling her eyes.
