“do you still have to go to the store?” sister #2 asked after i picked up the phone.
“yeah,” i said.
“can you pick up some peanut oil?”
“sure,” i said. “no problem.”
“all the cereal characters are at cub today and i was so busy chasing max around so he could hug them all that i forgot the peanut oil.”
“how did he handle meeting all his heroes?” i asked, because Max is the cereal king. max is the kid who, when we made valentines last year, filled his with toucan sam, snap, crackle and pop, and tony the tiger.
“he was ecstatic. he said that as soon as he saw the trix rabbit, he knew something was up.”
