sometimes too many good things happen at once and sort of overloads your system and you just don’t know what to do with yourself. were i a five-year-old girl, i would have just got out of my chair and started jumping up and down, you know how little girls do that because they are just entirely too excited to do anything else? that’s what i would have done.
why?
because as i was sitting at the loft with my friend Smel (good thing #1) waiting for my new writing class to start (#2), i was reading through the new book i got today. that new book is 33 1/3 Let it Be (#3) [ed note: remember my excitement?] written by Colin Meloy of The Decemberists (#4) when i realized (because he thanked her) that he was the brother of Maile Meloy (#5) who wrote Liars and Saints which i gulped up in a single weekend because i loved it so much. see? see all that goodness all at once? is it any wonder that this old heart of mind didn’t just burst from my chest and race around the room in complete and utter glee? i don’t know how i managed to restrain it.
and the best of the best? NESC is back in my new class with a new cutie pie cute cute friend who will henceforth be known as The Messenger.
yeah, wow. i dunno what i did to be treated with so much goodness in a single night, but i hope i’m that good again, soon.
why is the cutie pie cute cute friend of nesc called The Messenger? is he like….biblically cute or soemthing?
he is called The Messenger because he rode a bike to class (complete with cute helmet) and he had a really rad messenger bag.
