tonight i had to attend a focus group. it was just about one of the coolest things i’ve ever done for work. they ushered us into this darkened room where we sat behind a two way mirror and listened to 11 people talk about our stuff.
it was so fun!
it was weird too, because they were talking about and commenting on stuff that i had actually written. super weird, but overall totally educational.
it’s sort of revived my ambition, which was in sore need of some CPR.

Focus groups are neat. I used to help facilitate them one job ago. I ran into a former co-worker’s dad at one–the catch being that I worked with Lisa when I lived in Detroit and she was in the Chicago office, and the focus group was in rural Nebraska.
the best part about watching focus groups is the candy — lots and lots of candy.
