as i mentioned yesterday, i took a chance. a huge chance. i overstepped my boundaries and spoke up for something i thought needed to change– and it paid off. they actually listened to me.
they listened to me. i stated my case, provided examples and i won. i am so giddy.
basically, i rewrote the box copy for a new edition of one of our software titles. this isn’t my job in the least. the person whose job writing the box copy should of been was purposely cut out of the loop because of poor writing and temper tantrums. thus somebody who isn’t a writer took it upon themselves to write the box. it wasn’t so good. i got my hands on it, rewrote it and then presented my version to the director of creative services.
he listened to my case and then said he’d see what he could do. . . and every bought it. my copy runs. do you have any idea what a big deal this is for a copywriter?
