i was reading this entry and for some reason it reminded me of our weekly project meeting.

every tuesday morning we gather together to discuss the issues of the week and what we need from each other.

this tuesday my rant of choice (and there’s always one) was about how i wasn’t getting any of the finished products– no brochures, boxes, books, etc. everyone else was getting them and i wasn’t. it was pissing me off, because i work just as hard as anyone else on these things and i deserve to have the finished product.

the bossman was agreeing with me and what not.

“it sounds elitist, but we should get first dibs,” he said.
“yeah,” techwritergirl said, “it’s great for your portfolio.”
“exactly!” i shouted. “and i need that portfolio so i can blow this. . .”

and i stopped.

“jodi,” the bossman started with that impending lecture dad voice that he’s so fond of using with me and makes me laugh.
“what?” i said. “i didn’t finish!”
“just take us with you,” he said.

it’s nice when we can get along.
